The map of Apex Legends is arguably well-designed, separated into smaller sections with their own opportunities for loot discovery and strategic placement. In Respawn’s plans for the upcoming content of Apex Legends, there's the promise of new legends, weapons and loot in the months to come. Although Respawn could alter their plans as they see fit, however, there's no indication of any intentions to change the map in any substantial way, leaving players with the same environments for the remainder of 2019. While Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds relies on fully new environments to keep things fresh, both Call of Duty’s Blackout and Fortnite have found a simpler but equally effective manner of spicing up the same map: adding small but substantial new additions to the playing field, sometimes even going as far as fully replacing a stale or unbalanced section of the map. This strategy is a truly convincing motivation for past players to return, as new tactics begin to unfold and characters that were once thought as stale gain a new life, allowing Apex Legends to continue remaining relevant for an additional stretch of time.

Respawn Entertainment has always been one to keep an eye on consumer feedback, particularly when evolving from Titanfall to its sequel , which added a much-requested single-player campaign and refined the balancing of Titans on the battlefield. While the largely positive sentiment from fans so far is easy to rely upon, it's far from a guarantee as players continue to return and dive into the finer details. As these criticisms begin to roll in, both minor and major, Respawn should ensure that they keep a close eye on the various channels that these comments will arise from, especially as new elements are introduced, helping to secure the popularity of Apex Legends in this release-filled industry.

In a tweet posted February 16th, RealApexLeaks revealed two screenshots of code that refer to two characters and abilities that have not been seen in the game so far. The first character, Octane, uses an ability called a Stim Injection (sound familiar TF2 players?). The second character is named Wattson and can deploy an ability called the Tesla T
